Curt Siters (aka Evelyn's In-House Geek)
Ever since Curt was in grade school he has been into science and photography. At the end of his junior high school years he was introduced to computers and he graduated into geekdom and during computer class in high school he was teaching the teachers on computers. After high school he went full bore into cutting edge technology by joining the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power Program.
After his stint in the Navy he started learning more about technology by obtaining a certificate from a trade school in Electrical, Mechanical and Electronic Technology. This certificate lead him to getting a degree in Microcomputer Engineering Technology.
Since then he has been involved in desktop publishing, web design and programming and started to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Education specializing in Physics.
Curt cut his geek teeth on the venerable TRS-80. He currently uses both Apple Macintosh computers, a 12+ year old Blue & White G3 and a 12+ year old Tangerine iBook, and a Windows based laptop for work.
Curt currently is designing and building websites, including yourwebreference.com and helping people to market their websites. He is also an Independent Associate for Pre-Paid Legal Services and an Independent Distributor for Young Living Essential Oils.
Lee Hammaker (aka Digital Space Geek)
Lee was born just on the edge of the 50’s in a small suburban world filled with swimming pools and acres of land that had to be mowed every summer. He graduated from High School with a basic knowledge of how appliances worked and a thirst for reading science fiction and listening to rock n’ roll.
After moving to a modest apartment near town he met two of the most influential friends ever, one showed him how to draw, the other encouraged him to help this friend with his love of web publishing.
"In the early 90’s I was drawn kicking and screaming into the digital world by my friends, promising a new adventure in communication called 'chat rooms',” he says. "It turned out to be the most horrific experience I ever had. Yet I became a fan of creating digital art for fun and no profit with my computer."
He uses a G4 MAC that he will not sell or destroy if he has anything to say about it. His equipment also includes a Cannon Powershot and a beautiful Nikon D60 camera with several lenses-It’s a digital SLR camera.
At the time of this writing he's worked in a factory for more than 19 years, a decent job that has allowed him to purchase his MAC and other art equipment, and that is also were he met the second most influential person in my life. "He has encouraged me to write for this web site so you’ll see some “Blogs”; I guess that’s what they’re called, from time to time," Lee says.
